Privacy Policy for Memoir

This Privacy Policy describes how Skaldebane collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the Memoir mobile application (the “App”).

1. Data Collection

Memoir collects data that you provide directly to the App when you create an account, use its sync services, or otherwise interact with Memoir.

• Account Information: When you create an account, Memoir collects your email address and the name you provide.
• Synced Data: Memoir collects the notes and associated data that you create, edit, or store within the App and choose to synchronize with its server. This includes the content of your notes.
• Device ID: Memoir generates and associates a unique identifier with your app installation (referred to as a “device” for sync purposes). This is used to manage your sync status and session within Memoir.

2. Data Use

Memoir uses the data it collects solely to provide and improve the App’s functionality, including:

• To create and manage your user account.
• To enable the synchronization of your notes across your devices and app installations.
• To ensure the secure operation of the App’s services.
• To communicate with you regarding your account or App-related matters.

Memoir does not use your information for advertising purposes. The App contains no advertisements.

3. Data Sharing

Memoir does not share your personal information or your synced data with any third parties.

Memoir does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or error reporting tools that would involve sharing your data.

4. Data Security

Skaldebane implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

Memoir retains your account information and synced data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the App’s services. If you delete your account, your associated data will be removed within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information. If you wish to delete your data or account, you may do so through any in-app mechanisms that become available or by contacting Skaldebane directly.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. Memoir does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If Memoir becomes aware that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, it will take steps to delete such information from its records.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Skaldebane may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Memoir will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on its website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
